1 results foundAuthor: Ponemon Institute Title: 2012 Cost of Cyber Crime Study: Germany Summary: This is the first year the study was conducted in Germany to better understand the economic impact a cyber attack can have on an organization. The benchmark study is based on a representative sample of 43 organizations in various industry sectors. The first Cost of Cyber Crime Study was conducted in the US in 2010 and is now in its third year. Cyber attacks generally refer to criminal activity conducted via the Internet. These attacks can include stealing an organization’s intellectual property, confiscating online bank accounts, creating and distributing viruses on other computers, posting confidential business information on the Internet and disrupting a country’s critical national infrastructure.
